The Russian insurance market has been rapidly developing during the past decade.
New types of insurance and new insurance products have emerged along with new market players, refined risk assessment procedures and an improved legal framework for the insurance business. The rapid growth of the insurance sector is still being fostered by such factors as a large number of uninsured facilities, the spread of the insurance culture, the insurance market liberalization and the integration into the global insurance community.
